Limitation of liability and arbitration clauses in contracts: Trends in Russian court practice

We would like to invite you to participate in the online seminar "Limitation of liability and arbitration clauses in contracts: Trends
in Russian court practice", organised by ADVANT Beiten. We will discuss:

  • A provision concluded in advance to remove or limit liability for the intentional breach of an obligation is null and void under the Russian Civil Code. How should this provision be construed in the case of sanctions
  • Contractual limitation of liability: does it work in Russian courts?
  • If the contract contains an arbitration/prorogation clause in favor of a foreign arbitration institution, do Russian state courts still have competence over the dispute in the case of sanctions?

Language: English (translation will be not provided).

The event is free if you register in advance. We would be grateful if you could confirm your participation by registering, using this LINK.

PLEASE NOTE: We will e-mail you confirmation of your registration and a link for your online connection to the seminar on 15 February. The online seminar will be conducted using GoToWebinar.

If you have registered for the online seminar and have not received the link to connect on 15 February, or if you have problems registering for the online seminar, please let us know by e-mail: marketingMOS@advant-beiten.com or by phone: +7 495 232 96 35
