Increasing FDI Scrutiny in the EU

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are happy to invite you to our virtual roundtable discussion on the increasing FDI scrutiny in the EU. While investments in the EU continue at high levels, their impact is scrutinized by each EU country under the EU FDI Screening Regulation and national law. From January 2023, the EU also targets distortive foreign subsidies in a new Foreign Subsidies Regulation.

Our speakers will provide an overview on the main features of the Screening Regulation and the Foreign Subsidies Regulation and address most relevant issues for M&A transactions in practice, including recent experience with the national FDI authorities.
