China‘s "One Belt, One Road" and "Made in China 2025" Initiatives, as well as the drive of Chinese enterprises to transform and upgrade have seen increased overseas investment by Chinese companies each year, with Europe becoming the first choice for such outbound investments. The European Union (EU) is the world’s biggest economy. Its 28 EU Member States produce the world’s largest gross domestic product (GDP), which represents 26.3 % of the worldwide GDP. EU Members States Germany, Italy and the Benelux countries (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg) are all highly attractive investment destinations for Chinese investors.
