Alexander Bezborodov takes part in the TIAF 2019 Automotive Forum
The fifth Tatarstan International Automotive Forum was held in Kazan on 26 - 28 February 2019 with the support of Automechanika, a leading international exhibition brand in the field of automotive parts, components, and equipment for automobile servicing. The organisers of the event were the Association of European Business (AEB), the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Russian representative office of Messe Frankfurt GmbH, and OAO Kazanskaya Yarmarka.
The gala opening ceremony of the Forum was attended by R.K. Nigmatullin, Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan; Dr. Frank Schauff, General Director of the Association of European Business; A.A. Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan; A.Sh. Shirinov, President of the Ford Sollers joint venture; Chen Wei, Deputy General Consul of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan; and many others.
The Forum opened its programme with a session on Autonomous Driving: from Hype to Implementation, together with NTI Autonet, in which Alexander Bezborodov, a partner of the BEITEN BURKHARDT Moscow office, featured as a speaker. The topic of Alexander’s talk was “Legal Regulation: Technical Regulations, Specifics of Allowing Operation, and Liability”. Participants in the discussion included representatives of IBM, RGRAUTO Solutions, the mayor of the city of Innopolis, representatives of the University of Innopolis, as well as representatives of the AUTONET working group. The participants discussed with the audience how highly automated automobiles will interact with each other, as well as development trends, forecasts, and legislative aspects.
As a traditional part of the TIAF supported by Automechanika, a successful exhibition with more than 150 participating companies was held during the Forum.
