BEITEN BURKHARDT organises the traditional charity event for children "Winter Fairy Tale Journey"
Moscow, 17 December 2019 – In line with our long-standing tradition, as the winter holidays approach, the BEITEN BURKHARDT law firm organised a charity event for children from the Kolomna Municipal Social Rehabilitation Centre.
This year we decide to plunge together with the children into the magical atmosphere of the New Year holiday and set off for Moscow Children’s Fairy Tale Theatre. In the theatre Grandfather Frost and the symbol of the coming year – a little rat – wished all participants a Happy New Year, gave gifts to the children and watched together with the kids an entertaining puppet show based on the motifs of the Russian folk tale Morozko where work and miracles happen. The children also participated proactively in an interactive programme with enjoyable competitions and created with their own hands Grandfather Frost and Snow Maiden puppets that they joyfully took with them in memory of the miraculous winter fairy tale journey.
BEITEN BURKHARDT has been supporting the Kolomna Municipal Social Rehabilitation Centre for Children for nine years. The Centre helps disadvantaged orphans and children from low-income, single-parent and disadvantaged families, who have encountered severe hardship. Orphans aged from three to 17 live at the Centre permanently, while children from disadvantaged families study here during the day. Over 20 years the Centre’s specialists have helped 6,000 children and adolescents believe in their abilities, socialise in society, unlock their talents and become more self-confident.
