Duesseldorf, 1 February 2021 – The international commercial law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT has advised Köpper Group on the sale of three car dealerships with the brands Volkswagen and Audi to Tiemeyer Group with effect from 1 January 2021. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.

The Köpper Group is a family business that has been in operation for around 90 years. Since 2006, the company has been owned by an entrepreneurial family with whom BEITEN BURKHARDT has a long-standing client relationship. In recent years, Köpper Group has developed successfully, doubling its turnover and expanding to three locations. In future, customers will benefit from the size and central processes of Tiemeyer Group.

With the acquisition of Köpper Group, the large VW Group dealer headquartered in Bochum expands its market area to include Dorsten and Dülmen for the first time. The Tiemeyer Group now operates at 30 locations and is one of the largest car dealers in Germany, according to the German Institute for the Automotive Industry IFA.
