Rainer Süßmann is Partner at BEITEN BURKHARDT‘s Frankfurt a.M. office and member of the Banking/Finance & Capital Markets practice group. His area of expertise comprises the advice of stock exchange traded companies on all company and capital markets law matters, including advicing shareholders and banks. He is advicing on shareholders‘ meetings, restructurings including taking private transactions, and the law concerning groups of companies. He particularly advises offerors and target companies regarding voluntary or mandatory public takeovers. In addition, he advises to all questions of continuing listing obligations like ad hoc notifications, insider trading, notifications regarding major shareholdings and other notification requirements. Rainer Süßmann has also significant experience regarding the notification requirements for qualified participating interests in German banking institutions.
Rainer Süßmann was admitted to the German Bar in 1999 and joined BEITEN BURKHARDT mid of 2013. Prior to this he was working with Deutsche Börse AG and the German Financial Services Supervisory Authority and he was a partner at Hogan Lovells International LLP.
