Dr Maximilian Emanuel Elspas is Partner at BEITEN BURKHARDT's Munich office, co-head of the Corporate / M&A practice group and responsible for the competence area Energy. Dr Maximilian Elspas studied law at the Universities of Bayreuth and Munich as well as on the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer and was admitted to the German Bar in 2000. Additionally, he obtained the title of Economic Lawyer (Wirtschaftsjurist Univ. Bayreuth) and received a PhD. at the University of Science Dresden with an essay on the German Cogeneration Act (Dr. iur. 2005). Having worked three years with Clifford Chance he changed for heading the legal department of Deutsche Bahn Energie GmbH, Frankfurt. Maximilian Elspas joined Clifford Chance again in 2006 and took over responsibility for the energy practice at its Munich office. He has been working with BEITEN BURKHARDT since March 2011.
