BEITEN BURKHARDT organized a business breakfast jointly with German Centre Moscow on the topic "Anti-corruption policy: development of anti-corruption legislation, hidden risk areas"

Moscow, 10 October 2018 – A business breakfast was held in German Centre in Moscow on 9 October 2018, where Alexander Bezborodov and Anna Klimova from BEITEN BURKHARDT spoke for 40 participants on the topic "Anti-corruption policy: development of anti-corruption legislation, hidden risk areas".

The speakers focused on the following relevant issues:

  • Adopted and planned amendments to anti-corruption legislation: what changes you can expect;
  • What kinds of activity (actions and inaction) by companies and their employees could the state authorities consider to be corrupt;
  • Which business sectors most frequently face corruption allegations;
  • Methods used by the state authorities to obtain information: how to counter violations in this area;
  • Development of internal compliance programmes: what is changing and what needs be changed in company strategies against corruption.

The event was followed by a lively discussion, with the speakers answering questions of interest to the guests.
