BEITEN BURKHARDT Moscow organized a business breakfast on the topic "Vertical agreements and coordination of business activities: Main legal trends" together with German Centre in Moscow

Moscow, 11 July 2016 – A business breakfast was held on 7th July 2016 in Moscow. Anna Klimova with Alexander Bezborodov from BEITEN BURKHARDT Moscow spoke in front of approximately 40 participants on the topic "Vertical agreements and coordination of business activities: Main legal trends".

The speakers discussed the following relevant issues:

  1. Admissible and inadmissible vertical agreements and coordination of business activities: legislative amendments and development of regulatory practice;
  2. What needs to be considered when structuring relations between sellers and customers/distributors, associations and their members: which actions and contractual provisions may lead to liability for violating antitrust legislation;
  3. Specific concerns for companies in a dominant market position when concluding vertical agreements;
  4. Liability of the company, its management, and its employees for concluding inadmissible vertical agreements and for prohibited coordination of business activities;
  5. Prevention and reduction of the risk of being held liable: agreement on contracts with the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia, adoption of rules of commercial practice (trade/commercial policy);
  6. Preparations for the consideration of a case on liability for concluding inadmissible vertical agreements and for prohibited coordination of business activities.

A lively panel discussion with these experts and participants was held afterwards.
