BEITEN BURKHARDT Advises Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG Group on the Acquisition of a Wind Farm

Munich, 11 July 2017 – The international commercial law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT advised Hellenstein SolarWind GmbH, a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG enterprise group, on the acquisition of a wind farm in Ahorn-Buch. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.

After BEITEN BURKHARDT had already advised Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG Group on the acquisition of several wind and solar farms in recent years, now the team headed by Dr Maximilian Emanuel Elspas and Dr Sebastian Rohrer was again retained by Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG to comprehensively advise on this transaction. In addition to corporate and energy law, the advisory services rendered by BEITEN BURKHARDT also covered real estate and public law issues as well as the financing of the acquisition.

The Ahorn-Buch wind farm is situated in the municipality of Ahorn-Buch, Main-Tauber district in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The wind farm consists of four wind turbines of the type General Electric (GE) 2.75-120, having a rotor diameter of 120 m, with a hub height of 139 metres and a nominal capacity of 2,750 kW each. The wind turbines generate an annual energy output of approx. 26.4 million kilowatt hours of power per year.
