BEITEN BURKHARDT Advises Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG Group on the Acquisition of a Solar Plant

Munich, 9 August 2017 – The international commercial law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT advised Windpark Hochheim GmbH, a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG Group, on the acquisition of a solar plant in Dingolfing. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.

After BEITEN BURKHARDT had already advised Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG Group on the acquisition of several wind farms and solar plants in recent years, now the team headed by Dr Maximilian Emanuel Elspas and Dr Sebastian Rohrer was again retained by Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG Group to comprehensively advise on this transaction. In addition to corporate and energy law, the advisory services rendered by BEITEN BURKHARDT also covered real estate and public law issues as well as the financing of the acquisition.

With this acquisition the solar plant in Dingolfing expands the existing renewable energy portfolio of Stadtwerke Heidenheim AG Group by almost 8 MW. The solar plant Dingolfing, or rather, the two PV roof plants are installed on the roof surfaces of the dynamics centre and the carports of the shipment area of the BMW Dingolfing plant in the rural district Dingolfing-Landau in Bavaria. The solar plant comprises a total of 34,752 modules and has fed approx. 8.2 million kWh of power into the grid since having gone into operation in December 2010 or February 2011, respectively. This is equivalent to the supply of some 2,730 average households.
