Jan Christian Eggers
Jan Christian Eggers is Partner at BEITEN BURKHARDT's Hamburg office and member of the Government & Public Sector practice group. His area of expertise comprises public procurement and competition law as well as EU state aid and general EU law. In public procurement matters, Jan regularly advises contractors and contracting authorities before and during tenders. He has extensive experience in consulting during the tender process, particularly in large PPP and infrastructure projects and in the life sciences sector. In European and German competition law, Jan's practice covers advice on contractual arrangements, joint ventures, dealing with market power and compliance as well as antitrust defence and merger control work. Beside his advisory work, Jan regularly acts in contentious procurement and competition cases before the procurement review bodies and German as well as European courts.
Jan Christian Eggers studied law at the universities of Hamburg and Exeter (LL.M. in European Law, 2004) and was admitted to the German bar in 2007. He worked for an international law firm for eleven years. He has been working with BEITEN BURKHARDT as partner since 2018.
