Dr Thomas Lambrich
Career
Dr Thomas Lambrich is Partner and Head of BEITEN BURKHARDT's Hamburg office and member of the Labour & Employment Law practice group. He advises German and international companies of various sizes on all individual and collective labour law issues. His main area of activities comprise drafting and negotiation of collective agreements with trade unions or works councils, especially in the context of restructuring and staff reduction measures, as well as on employee data protection issues. Dr Lambrich is an experienced litigator, mainly in collective bargaining matters before labour courts. He has conducted various landmark proceedings even before the Federal Labour Court and the Federal Constitutional Court regarding collective bargaining matters. He further consults on the assignment of external staff, also taking into account complex compliance reviews. As Dr Lambrich has concurrent expertise and experience in media law, he is specialised in rendering strategic and legal advice during media relevant corporate crises considering labour law aspects. He also provides sports law advice to clubs and athletes.
Dr Thomas Lambrich studied law at the University of Trier and was admitted to the German Bar in 2000. He began his career as a lawyer working abroad in San Francisco and London, then at Baker & McKenzie's Munich office. Between 2012 and 2015 he headed as a partner the employment law department in the Berlin office of Noerr, before becoming partner at the media and labour law firm Prinz Neidhardt Engelschall. In addition to his activities as a lawyer, he lectured at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg from 2004 to 2009. He joined BEITEN BURKHARDT as a partner in 2018.
