Dr Karsten Schmid
Dr Karsten Schmid is Partner at BEITEN BURKHARDT’s Munich office and member of the Government & Public Sector practice group. His area of activity comprises procurement law, commercial law, company law, medical law, as well as litigation. He particularly advises his national and international clients on the implementation of projects, especially in the fields of construction, infrastructure and information technology. Furthermore, he represents his clients in national and cross-border proceedings in the context of commercial, corporate and company law disputes of any kind, not only in court but also out of court by way of alternative dispute resolution. In the field of medical law, Dr Karsten Schmid particularly advises on panel doctor law as well as on the law of cooperative models in the field of health services.
Dr Karsten Schmid studied law at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and was admitted to the German Bar in 1999. He has been working with BEITEN BURKHARDT since 2000 and became Partner in 2005.
