Dr Hans von Gehlen
Dr Hans von Gehlen is Partner at BEITEN BURKHARDT‘s Frankfurt am Main office and member of the Public Sector practice group. He advises both contracting authorities and private businesses on all issues related to public business and procurement law. He boasts many years of experience in implementing complex award procedures, with a focus on infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships. In the real estate sector, he has advised listed companies in several competitive dialogue procedures and several PPP pilot projects until a contract was signed. Hans von Gehlen has further structured large projects in the fields of industrial sites (planning, construction, operation, financing, and collateral), IT, local rail transport services, broadband, and wind energy.
Dr Hans von Gehlen studied law at the University of Hamburg, where he also obtained his doctoral degree. He was admitted to the German Bar in 1996. Before joining BEITEN BURKHARDT in 2013, Hans von Gehlen was a partner at national and international law firms for several years.
Dr Hans von Gehlen is recommended by Wirtschaftswoche as "top lawyer for procurement law".
