Sergey Morozov participated in Legal Week in Berne

Legal Week was held on 1 to 3 October 2018 in Berne (Switzerland).

On 2 October a Practical Seminar for attorneys from Russia was held as part of Legal Week, organized by the Swiss-Russian Forum under the Swiss-Russian Chamber of Commerce. Honoured guests of the forum included Dr Urs. Weber Stecher (LL.M., member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (United Kingdom)), Prof, Dr Christoph Müller (Professor of Private Law, LL.M. (Columbia), member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), University of Neuchâtel), Dr Sergio Giacomini (former President of the Swiss Bar Association), René Rall (Secretary General of the Swiss Bar Association) and  Béatrice G. Lombard-Martin (Co-President and Founder of the Swiss-Russian Forum (Swiss-Russian Chamber of Commerce)).

Our expert Sergey Morozov delivered a presentation jointly with Anna Kozmenko  (Schellenberg Wittmer, Zurich) as part of the session entitled “Post-Reform Arbitration in Russia: Practical Aspects”. Sergey discussed with the forum’s participants topical issues of arbitrabil-ity, the arbitration of corporate disputes, and also the most recent judicial practice of the Supreme Court of Russian on the standards of proof in commercial disputes.

Sergey Morozov has been working at BEITEN BURKHARDT’s Moscow office since 2011. Sergey’s core activities include the resolution of commercial disputes, the representation of clients in state courts and international commercial arbitration, and also advice on issues of civil and procedural law.
