"Keep in touch with the Dutch" – BEITEN BURKHARDT Supports the Summer Party of the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce on the Occasion of Its Anniversary
Dusseldorf, 22 June 2015 – The German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) celebrates an anniversary. For 110 years DNHK has promoted trade and commerce, integrated cultures and brought together countries.
Once a year German and Dutch business people meet in the pleasant ambience of the DNHK summer party, which took place at Kasteel Nyenrode in Breukelen near Utrecht/Netherlands on 19 June 2015 for the ninth time this year, inter alia, with the support of BEITEN BURKHARDT.
As always, the summer party provided ample opportunity to renew existing business relationships and establish new contacts in a relaxed atmosphere and a beautiful environment.
The list of more than 600 guests reads like a "Who's Who" of the German-Dutch trade and commerce. But the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce would not be the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce and the summer party would not be so brilliant if it would not provide a sensational programme on top. The evening's highlight was definitely the 30-minute performance of Herman van Veen who, despite of his age of 70 years or perhaps because of it, put a real spell on the audience from the very first minute; accompanied by seven professional musicians he beguiled the audience with both Dutch and German pieces, once again proving his class.
The event ended with a group named Coronas, who performed a mix of pop music and a touch of stand-up comedy; what was so special about them was that at the drop of a hat they were able to deliver a perfect performance of English, Dutch and naturally German titles. Among other songs they also performed "Tage wie diese" ("Days like these"), a title which perfectly reflects the ninth summer party of DNHK.
In this light we propose "Ein Hoch auf uns" (a "Here's to us") to the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce and its members.
