Falk Tischendorf emphasized the industry’s rapid development in the conditions of the ongoing coronavirus crisis, which has already sparked a flurry of innovations, as an effective fight with the COVID-19 pandemic requires technical innovations in both the development of chemical and pharmaceutical substances and medical technology. In particular, the Russian healthcare industry has made a good showing in the area of virology, as witnessed by the quick development of the Sputnik V vaccine. There are many other opportunities for successful joint economic projects in the healthcare industry in Russia. This is confirmed by the examples of successful localization and contract manufacturing of foreign companies in the country.
