BEITEN BURKHARDT Further Strengthens its Healthcare Practice in Berlin

Berlin, 12 January 2016 – As of 1 January 2016, the international law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT has strengthened its healthcare practice at the Berlin office by the new Partner Dr. Silke Dulle and lawyer Matthias Wrana. Both are medical law specialists and have many years of experience in advising undertakings and institutions active in the healthcare sector. They will complement the healthcare practice of BEITEN BURKHARDT, already established in the market.

Dr. Silke Dulle (42) transferred from the Berlin office of KPMG Law. Her area of activity comprises legal advice to clients of the healthcare sector, in particular operators of hospitals and clinics and health insurance companies. Her legal consultancy covers hospital law, social security and pharmaceutical law, procurement law and corporate law.

Matthias Wrana (35) was part of the Medical Law practice group of the Hamburg based law firm Wülfing Zeuner Rechel. His area of activity also comprises legal advice to clients of the healthcare sector. He particularly focuses on the representation of the interests of service providers in the field of medical and nursing care law.

The competence team of ten expert lawyers headed by the Berlin Partners Dr. Karl-Dieter Müller and Dr. Thomas Puffe advises both national and international clients in the healthcare sector. At the offices of BEITEN BURKHARDT more than 20 lawyers focus their activities on the healthcare industry. The advisory services concerning the healtcare sector, rendered under corporate law and M&A as well as under labour law aspects, are part of their core competencies. Besides advising on compliance, real estate law, public law, procurement law, tax law, charity law and IT law issues in the healthcare sector, the entry of Dr. Dulle and Mr Wrana pushes the legal field of healthcare and medical law further ahead.
