BEITEN BURKHARDT Advises Amphenol Corporation on Acquisition of Intelligente Sensorensysteme Dresden GmbH

Berlin, 28 July 2017 – The international commercial law firm BEITEN BURKHARDT has advised Amphenol Corporation, USA, which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, on the acquisition of Intelligente Sensorensysteme Dresden GmbH (i2S) which is based in Dresden, Eastern Germany. The parties have agreed not to disclose the transaction volume.

Amphenol is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect systems for fibre optic, electrical cables and wire harnesses in the world. The Company designs, manufactures and markets electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat ribbon cable, and interconnect systems. Amphenol is characterised by its rather diversified market position in the fast-growing segments of the connector market. The primary end markets for the Company's products are communications and information processing markets, including cable television, broadband communications, cellular telephone and data communication and information processing systems; aerospace and military; automotive, rail and other transportation systems and many other industrial applications. The company has approximately 62,000 employees worldwide at more than 60 locations.

i2S, founded 2001 in Dresden, designs and produces pressure, temperature and mass airflow sensors especially for the sectors automotive, mechanical engineering, measurement and testing technology as well as for other industrial applications. With the acquisition of the company and its approximately 170 skilled employees, Amphenol extendts its product range and also regionally enhances the diversification of their activities.

BEITEN BURKHARDT maintains a long-term client relationship with Amphenol and advises the company since 2011 on corporate acquisitions and on all corporate law issues in Germany.
