Public Construction & Planning Law

The experts of our Public Construction and Planning Law Team have significant expertise in all planning and building law issues and regularly secure the necessary building rights for our clients and safeguard the development of their construction and infrastructure projects. We provide support to federal, state and local authorities, private investors and property developers, building owners and architects, as well as banks and investment companies throughout all phases of their projects and advise them on all related procedures.

  • We assist our clients with the selection of sites, evaluating building and planning law obligations for the envisaged development, as well as any requirements for use and/or development.

  • Our team analyses and assesses the development potential and limitations of portfolio properties, such as due to fire safety requirements or historic site status restrictions, and assists with the selection of planning instruments (e.g. zoning for inner urban development).

  • Our clients value the support we provide in obtaining the necessary permits and approvals. We work with competent authorities and planning experts to help our clients realise the full potential of a site, optimising the relevant legal aspects, obtaining, for instance, approvals by means of a project-related zoning/development plan. We draft and negotiate town planning, development and other necessary agreements and advise our clients on the preparation of planning and application documents.

  • In addition, we represent our clients both in and out of court, enforcing land and construction rights and defending their projects against third-party attacks.
