JUVE Handbook German Commercial Law Firms 2017/2018

We keep our clients up to date with the latest developments in European Union law and advise on when they need to take action to ensure the continued compliance of their business. Accordingly, we have developed our own monitoring systems to ensure that our clients are immediately informed of any important developments that will affect them.

We provide our clients with comprehensive advice on all aspects of EU law, such as antitrust and State aid law, the enforcement of fundamental freedoms, customs law, and anti-dumping complaints and investigations. We know how to respond when the European Commission requests information as part of an investigation into possible restrictions to competition. And we provide legal lobbying services to facilitate changes to existing and proposed legislation in favour of the interests of our clients.

What sets us apart

Our team has many years of experience and a high level of expertise in all areas of EU law. We are very familiar with the structure and working methods of the European Commission though our daily work, especially the work of our office in Brussels.

We advise and represent our clients before the European Commission and the Court of Justice of the European Union in the three working languages of the European Institutions: English, French and German. In addition, we work closely and efficiently with our highly qualified colleagues from all other areas of law to assist with complex legal and factual matters.

You can find further information on our work in this area under Antitrust Law and State Aid & Subsidies.

Brussels

Our international team advises internationally active companies, primarily those with headquarters in the EU, Eastern Europe, the USA or Asia, on all aspects of EU law.

We keep our clients informed about the most recent development in EU law and determine whether business models and/or products may need to be amended. In this way, we ensure that your business strategies will remain compliant, even with future laws.

We know how to present arguments when the European Commission requests information about possible infringements of competition or State aid law or about trade restrictions, and assist companies with our reliable recommendations.

In addition, we are committed to seeing legal provisions amended for the benefit our clients e.g. thorough the submission of complaints and position papers to the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Member States.
