BEITEN BURKHARDT places great value on the protection of your personal data. Insofar as we collect, process or exploit ("use") personal data, this is carried out within the framework of relevant German and European data protection laws and applicable statutes under professi-onal law.

Use of Data

Visits to our website are generally possible without specification of any personal data. We use data you have actively disclosed to us via our website or e-mail such as your name, mail address or other contact data exclusively to respond to your inquiries regarding, for example, events, job offers or newsletter subscriptions. When accessing our website, the host name of the accessing computer, the IP address, date and time of each access are transmitted.

Insofar as we use personal data for a particular purpose which requires your consent under statutory provisions, we will always ask separately for your express consent. You are at all times entitled to withdraw your prior consent for the collection, processing and use of your personal data for the future. Transmission of personal data to other BEITEN BURKHARDT affiliates or third parties is only effected insofar as it is necessary for the processing of your inquiry or clients' assignments, if you have given us your consent or if we are required to by law. If you want to register for one of our events, we can provide other participants in this event with your name, title/academic degree, professional title and work address by means of a list of participants. You may object to this use of your data at any time.

Applicants' Details

Your data and information which is processed in the course of an application process are treated with confidentiality and in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Your personal data are collected and stored in the course of the BEITEN BURKHARDT application procedure if you make such information available to us by e-mail or mail, or if you apply online, regardless of whether you apply proactively or to specific job vacancies.

If you apply to a specific job offer, your data will be viewed and processed only by the competent staff and the respective practice group of BEITEN BURKHARDT, and it will be deleted after termination of the application process and expiry of the required storage term (normally 6 months).

When proactively applying to a vacancy or choosing the option to participate in the BEITEN BURKHARDT talent pool, you provide us with your personal information for the purpose of searching a suitable job. Your details will be registered in BEITEN BURKHARDT's talent pool which we make use of when searching for suitable candidates. In this case all your data can be accessed and viewed by BEITEN BURKHARDT's practice groups and staff members involved in the application process to check whether your profile matches the requirements of current job vacancies. Data from unsolicited applications will be deleted after two years. Should you decide to participate in BEITEN BURKHARDT's talent pool, we will store and use your personal information for two years as described above and subsequently delete the data.

You are at all times entitled to withdraw your prior consent for the future without giving any reasons. You are entitled at all times to demand information about any personal data we have stored in the context of the application procedure, and to update such information if it is inaccurate or outdated in your opinion. It is your responsibility though to keep your data true and correct.

We Use Cookies (for web analytics)

For the purpose of statistical analysis of our internet offer our website generates so-called cookies which store and evaluate your visits to our website. Use of Social Plug-Ins in the BEITEN BURKHARDT Blog

The BEITEN BURKHARDT Blog uses so-called social plug-ins of the third party platforms provided by Facebook, Twitter, XING and LinkedIn. BEITEN BURKHARDT uses a two-click solution to integrate social plug-ins, thus actively supporting data privacy. This means that the button of the third party platform must be intentionally activated before use is possible. Through integration of the plug-ins the third party platforms will be informed that you have retrieved the respective page of our blog. If you are logged in with the respective platform, it can assign your visit to your user account.
